In this thread u can post everything about ur favorite mangas or animes

Claymore



In a world where humans coexist with sentient monsters called Yoma that feed on human innards, an organization has created an order of half-human, half-yoma warriors to protect humans from the yoma, for a large fee. The people of this world have dubbed these warriors "Claymores" based on their swords. They are also referred to as "Silver Eyed Witches", based on their appearance and seemingly cold nature toward others. Each Claymore has a rank number which is based on their strength and ability. There are 47 ranks corresponding to the number of regions of the land/world.

A Claymore known as Clare saves a small town by killing a Yoma living there, and meets Raki, a boy whose parents were killed by the Yoma. Out of gratitude, Raki ends up following Clare from town to town during her Yoma-killing jobs. The two travel together until they are separated when Clare is forced to battle a sadistic Claymore named Ophelia. Before parting, Clare promises to find him if she survives. The story becomes a tale of revenge, as Clare seeks to confront someone from her past.

Death Note



Light Yagami is an intelligent young man who resents what appears to be a relentless increase of crime and corruption in the world around him. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers a mysterious notebook, known as the "Death Note", lying on the ground. The Death Note's instructions claim that if a human's name is written within it, that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the notebook's authenticity, but after experimenting with it, he realizes that the Death Note is real. After meeting with the previous owner of the Death Note, a shinigami named Ryuk, Light plans to become a god and establish a new world order by passing his keen judgment on those he deems evil and anyone who gets in his way.

Soon, the number of inexplicable deaths of reported criminals catches the attention of International Police Organization and a mysterious detective known only as "L". L quickly learns that the serial killer, dubbed by the public as "Kira" is located in Japan. He also concludes that Kira can kill people without laying a finger on them. Light realizes that L will be his greatest nemesis, and a nuanced game of psychological cat and mouse between the two begins.

Misa Amane, another Death Note owner, finds Light. Obsessed with Kira after the death of her parents' murderer, she devotes herself to helping Light, but is captured by L. Light makes a plan involving renouncing ownership of both Death Notes, and all of his memories of them, and turns himself in to L for surveillance. Together, Light and L investigate eight people from the company "Yotsuba" who are using a Death Note for their own profit. While arresting them, Light recovers all his memories when he touches the Death Note. He remembers and continues his plan of compelling the former owner of Misa's Death Note, the shinigami Rem, into killing L and his aide Watari.

After L's death, Light is given the position of the "new L" by the Japanese Task Force. Four years later, Near and Mello - two children who were raised to be successors to L - appear, with the goal of finding Kira. In the meantime, Kira has gained much public support, and has contacts. Mello, one of L's successors, kidnaps Sayu Yagami, Light's little sister, as a bargaining chip to get the Death Note. The Japanese Task Force plans to go to Los Angeles to rescue Sayu but ends up losing the Notebook. The Task Force later attempts to retrieve it and succeeds in doing so. However, as a result of an explosion that Mello uses to cover his escape, Light's father Soichiro Yagami dies.

Near begins to suspect the second L of being Kira thus causing some members of the Japanese task force to also openly suspect him. Realizing the risk of being caught, Light has Misa give up ownership of her Death Note. He then finds his next successor, Teru Mikami, a strong, almost crazed Kira supporter. Mikami later recruits a new spokesman for Kira, Kiyomi Takada, a newscaster and one of Light's former college girlfriends. Teru Mikami and Kiyomi Takada continue killing criminals while Light is unable to do so himself. Kiyomi is later kidnapped by Mello and is forced to kill him with a hidden piece of the Death Note. Light kills Kiyomi to avoid her implicating him after she uses the note to kill Mello. Mikami, unaware of this action, writes her name in his notebook, exposing it to the members of the SPK. Near has it replaced with a fake notebook and, in a final confrontation with Light, is able to use it to prove that Light is Kira. Realizing that Light had lost, Ryuk writes down Light's name in his own notebook, killing him with a heart attack.

The story follows a team of pirates/mercenaries known as Lagoon Company, who smuggle goods in and around the seas of Southeast Asia in the early 1990s.^[4] Their base of operations is located in the fictional city of Roanapur in Thailand, and they transport goods in the 80-foot (24 m) Elco-type PT boat Black Lagoon. When on land, they move around and conduct business using Benny's 1968 Plymouth Road Runner, although in episode 24 he's seen driving a 1965 Pontiac GTO
after his Roadrunner is blown up in episode 17. Lagoon Company does
business with various clients, but has a particularly friendly
relationship with the Russian crime syndicate
Hotel Moscow. The team takes on a variety of missions—which may involve
violent firefights, hand-to-hand combat, and nautical battles—in
various Southeast Asian locations and when not doing much, the members
of the Lagoon Company spend much of their down time at The Yellow Flag,
a bar in Roanapur which is often destroyed in firefights.

Clannad Season1

Clannad is set in a high-school located in some Japanese town. Okazaki
Tomoya is a third-year student who doesn’t take his studies seriously.
Always late for class, he’s seen as a delinquent by the rest of his
classmates who are busy preparing for their entrance examinations.
Needless to say, he does not have too many close friends either. Tomoya
seems not to mind too – until one day he meets a girl, Furukawa Nagisa,
who is left alone without friends in the school because everybody she
knew already graduated. “What a clumsy girl,” he thinks at first. But
he can’t leave her alone and so, while helping her, he meets a few
other girls from his school. Although he doesn’t care much about them
at first, he soon opens his heart to them as they get to know each
other better.

Clannad After Story (season2)

Events in After Story take place immediately upon Tomoya graduating
high school. After declaring his love to Nagisa, they begin to have a
close relationship. BUT, Nagisa is hiding a secret from Tomoya and the
truth of it will change their lives forever.


WELL THIS WAS THE FIRST AND LAST ANIME THAT MADE ME REALLY REALLY SAD... I CRIED A FUCKING LOT BECAUSE OF THAT...ITS REALLY WORTHY TO BE WATCHED

Bokura Ga Ita

The start of high school life. To the girls, that also meant the start
of their love lives. For brand new first year student, Takahashi Nanami
(Nana for short), it was no different… She happens to end up in the
same class as the incredibly popular Yano Motoharu, who rumors say that
two thirds of all the girls are guaranteed to fall in love with. But

Elfen Lied







The Diclonius, a mutated homo sapien that is said to be selected by God and will eventually become the destruction of mankind, possesses two horns in their heads, and has a "sixth sense" which gives it telekinetic abilities. Due to this dangerous power, they have been captured and isolated in laboratories by the government. Lucy, a young and psychotic Diclonius, manages to break free of her confines and brutally murder most of the guards in the laboratory, only to get shot in the head as she makes her escape. She survives and manages to drift along to a beach, where two teenagers named Kouta and Yuka discovers her. Having lost her memories, she was named after the only thing that she can now say, "Nyuu," and the two allow her to stay at Kouta's home. However, it appears that the evil "Lucy" is not dead just yet...

Holyland:

This is one of my favourite series. Awesome plot, and the character development is amazing.
It's basically about a kid who got bullied in his younger years, and how things develop and he becomes a great fighter.
It's not your normal gets super powers series, it's more realistic than that.

Doubt:

There's a game going around Japan called 'Rabbit Doubt'. The premise of the game is that all of the players are rabbits in a colony, and one amongst them is randomly chosen to be a wolf that infiltrated the group of rabbits. Every round, the wolf kills off a rabbit, and every round, the group tries to figure out which of the rabbits is actually a wolf in disguise. Sometimes the kids who play this game decide to meet up in person, and Yuu, Mitsuki, Rei, Hajime, Eiji, and Haruka have done just that. Unfortunately, one of them has decided to take on the mantle of the wolf and has already killed once. Who is the wolf, and can they be stopped before everyone meets a very unpleasant end?

Awesome series albeit quite short.

Currently, I'm reading a manga that rocks : Emotion, action, nice story and drawn well. It's a good seinen.





A girl named Haruka Tōyama happens to be in the care of a
certain company because she can see the future, but she wants to get
away, so using her abilities she finds a blind though strong man and
asks him to help her as a body guard 'til death do them part.

The man,
named Mamoru Hijikata, quickly dismiss her request as a joke from a
small 12 year old kid, only to realize what shady business has beginning
to unfold when people willing to do anything are desperately searching
for the girl.

As she predicted, Mamoru has vast experience in shady
business himself, and will not be pushed around easily by any criminal.


Is 'protection' the only reason that Haruka approached Mamoru? Or
could it be something else?

Red Garden [omg too much crying and random singing so far im on Ep 6./22, but someone here might like it]
Brigadoon [Was watching this on ondemand, it's good, about an orphan girl]
METROPLOIS [GREAT MOVIE, MUST WATCH; AS EPIC AS AKIRA]
Argento Soma [Also on Ondemand/Cable T.V. thingy inthe U.S., started out good, Mecha-sad romance, REALLY SAD]
Alien 9 [Short 4 eps; leaves alot to the imagination of the viewer]
THE BOONDOCKS[ Well its not really Japanese, but the animation is anime; American Comic and is AS FUNNY AS HELL]
Avatar: The Last Air Bender [Dunno if this is "anime," but it's AWESOME, gonna see if the Real Live Movie is good]

Well I've actually watched some of what you mentioned, but I'm really into Action Comedies without too much "nosebleeding." As random as Air Gear as serious as Deathnote Plz.

Someone tell me how to put pictures from the computers files on here D8! I've found some OLD drawings.

My problem with anime is that I've either finished or caught up with every series I could have any interest in at all, so I'm at a dead end :3

That's why I've started reading manga instead. I've probably read a good 80+ different mangas, or even more but I'll definitively make a list of which ones are good

I'll probably read this later, but this is a type of series that might be better as anime.

Ookiku Furikabutte
The series, set in Saitama, follows Ren Mihashi, who had previously excelled as his middle school baseball team's ace pitcher, due to his grandfather's connections as its manager. As he graduates to high school, whose baseball team his grandfather does not manage, he initially does not believe he is good enough to succeed at baseball, however, but assisted by his friends, he grows in stature, confidence and skill, helping his team excel with his own ability.

This is basically a sports anime, but without the wild crazy moves you'll see in Eyeshield 21, Prince of Tennis and so forth.
So far it has been a great mix of comedy, seriousness and so forth.

Really good series so far (episode 10)
Can't wait to finish this. I'll probably start the manga after :3

I read mangas because anime takes to long to watch. The last anime I watched was Prince of Tennis and look where it landed me XD.

I read Historys Strongest Disciple Kenichi and Veritas. They both have funny moments and some awesome fights.

Avatar the last Airbender is worth watching though.
